Today in class we reflected on our abilities in Maya, what we've done well in, what we haven't done well in, the tools we've learnt and what we could improve on. These were my points;
Did well/confident in:
Able to use tools such as the Extrude tool
Able to use edge loops
Good at creating concept art for assets
Used vertices to shape models
Haven't done that well in:
UV mapping
Texturing
Bump mapping
Updating this blog regularly
Tools learnt/used:
Extrude tool
Edge loops
Bevelling
Areas for improvement:
UV mapping- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Brh1JRL9OoY, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OQKdfJ1vVnQ
Texturing- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yIFNgPbDHvY
Lowering polycount/creating low poly models- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Ihsko_sSZ0
Bump mapping- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0-WDU4uZRvM
Overall be quicker at modelling
