Today in class we had practice using the combine, extract and seperate tools on Maya. We did this by making a make-shift house with the roof being a seperate object, I used edge loops to create windows and doors then used the extract tool to extract them, then I put them back in their original positions and used the Combine tool to combine the roof and the base of the house.
The second part of the lesson involved us continuing with our environment in in Maya for our 3D project. Today I finished making all the rooms as well as texturing the walls, however something went wrong and for some reason the doors, which are seperate objects, as well as the floor had the same texture when I tried texturing another wall, they also had differnet textures compared to the original wall I textured. From the feedback I recieved I will try and texture the floor and doors differently.
